News and Product Information Updates
February 2008
Globe Audio Marketing is pleased to announce that we are now the new North American distributor for the unique and wonderful products of Avantgarde Acoustics of Germany. Avantgarde are world-famous for their beautifully designed and super efficient horn speakers. We will be adding product info to our website soon. We will also be showing Avantgarde speakers playing at the up-coming Festival Son et Image on Montreal , in Salon “B”, April 3 rd to 6 th , 2008.
Globe Audio Marketing is also now the North American distributor for the Black Ravioli vibration-damping devices. The Black Ravioli is a small (about 1&1/2”) square pad that can be used under the feet of components, between interconnects and in other places, to dampen the harmful effects of air and ground-borne vibration on your music playback devices. Anyone who tries them has heard a noticeable improvement in fidelity. We at Globe are successfully experimenting with using the Black Ravioli inside CD players!
More info will be posted soon.

The new RCM Audio phono stage is now available!
RCM of Poland, who manufactures the very highly-regarded Bonasus tube integrated amplifier is now shipping their new phono stage, the Sensor Prelude IC.
The Sensor Prelude is a compact, two chassis design with an outboard power supply. In addition to the superb quality sound and build quality that RCM is known-for, it offers the user all the flexibility required to integrate the unit into any high quality audio system. It can accommodate cartridges from .3 mV to 5 mV, with several adjustments for cartridge load and output gain, as well as single-ended or balanced outputs.
Our listening tests have confirmed that the Sensor Prelude IC will compete with products many times its price. See our Products page for details.
You can also read a glowing review from Europe , at: http://highfidelity.pl/!ev/artykuly/19_11_2007/rcm.html

The new Capitole Classic CD player has arrived!
This player will be of interest to those of you who have made a considerable investment in a top quality preamp and are not in need of the preamp and analogue volume output section of the Capitole Reference.
Of course, the Capitole Classic will sound just as good as the Capitole Reference, but at a lower cost. We hope to add the Capitole Classic to the Products Page on our website soon.

Globe Audio Marketing is proud to re-introduce the Breuer Dynamic 8C Tonearm to North America. After an absence of many years it was displayed at the World CES in Las Vegas. The arm has been greeted enthusiastically by the Audio Community, particularly by the Audio Press and those experienced audiophiles who know and treasure their Analogue gear. Call Globe Audio Marketing if you woud like to know how to adapt this truly World Class audio component to your Analogue system.
At the CES, Globe Audio once again entertained members of the Trade with one of the best sounding systems anywhere, built around the Audio Aero Prestige SACD player and a fully-active WLM speaker system, driven by Audio Aero Prestige amplifiers. This system combined stunning musicality and finesse with jaw-dropping dynamic perfromance. You will next be able to see and hear Globe's offerings at Stereophile's Home emtertainment Show show in Los Angeles, June 1st to 4th, 2006.
Winter 2004
Globe Audio Marketing is now the Canadian source for the famous Audiodesksysteme CD Sound Improver (www.audiodesksysteme.de), a lathing device manufactured in Germany, that has received excellent reviews from the Audio Press, including Stereophile, HiFi News and the International Audio Review. The manufacturer describes the necessity for this device and a brief description of its function on their website:
“Light scatter is often to blame for poor sound potential. Light scatter moves randomly through CDs and audibly deteriorates reproduction. Using black or green felt tips on the edge of a CD could never solve the problem satisfactorily. Just a few years ago a series of experiments came up with a remarkably effective process: the outer edge of the CD was ground or beveled to nullify the light scatter. The blackening of the bevel absorbs the remainder of the straying laser light.
Audiodesksysteme Gläss has developed the CD Sound Improver based on this ground-breaking research. In just a few minutes it optimizes the sound characteristics of your CDs permanently and above all, noticeably.”
Globe Audio Marketing also carries the De Mat by Van Art Speak, a CD mat accessory that also keeps stray light away from your CDs and dampens it from vibration, resulting in better detailing and sound-staging.
These two products compliment each other very well, and together they offer an improvement so noticeable, that you will feel like you bought a whole new CD player!
Fall 2004
One of our Toronto dealers,
Audio
Gallery, is having a Customer Appreciation night on Thursday
and Friday, November 25th & 26th, 2004. They will be presenting
many of their fine Audio components in various rooms.
One of the rooms will feature the Wilson Benesch ACT speakers
driven by the Audio Aero Prestige monobloc tube amplifiers and a
Capitole MK.II A.I. CD player/preamp. Jody Hickson, President of
Globe Audio Marketing will also be present to demonstrate our
truly World Class Audio system and answer your questions.
Wine, cheese and hors doeuvres will be served, and you may well
find some members of the Audio Press there!
Summer 2004
Audio Aero of France is now
known as Audio Aero Design. They have gone independent from
their parent company, and they recently moved to a new facility in
southern France. They have made changes to their equipment,
suppliers and have installed new inventory/sales software that
will streamline the ordering process. So, that means new products
in more quantity and faster service.
Globe Audio Marketing has
been shipping the new “A.I.” (Analogue Input) models of the
Capitole 192/24 CD player and Prima 192/24 D/A converter. This
means that now, you really can sell your preamp and use your Audio
Aero component as a preamp. The Prima DAC has two sets of
single-ended inputs; the Capitole has two pairs of S.E. inputs and
a pair of balanced (xlr) inputs. The famous Capitole CD player has
always had built-in volume control that allowed you to run
directly to your amplifier(s). Now you can have the same
high-quality preamp/volume control abilities for your other source
components!
We’ll post some photos in our
“Photo Gallery” section soon.
All Audio Aero components
are now available with brushed silver aluminium faceplates and
chassis now, as well as the usual black….stunning good looks
in silver!
Speaking of “stunning” looks
and performance, the new Audio Aero Prestige SACD player
has made appearances at Consumer and Trade shows during the last
couple of years, as a prototype. Audio Aero has been continuously
improving the design, and we’re hoping to see it in production
within two or three months. (Jan. 2005) This player is a super
high quality two channel and multi-channel SACD player/preamp, and
unlike many of the SACD players you’ve been reading about, it does
great redbook playback for your regular CDs. It
even does redbook CD better than the
Capitole, and that is saying a LOT!
